This compact camera module designed for Raspberry Pi delivers high-resolution images despite its small size. The module measures only 8.5 mm × 11.3 mm and can be easily mounted on various surfaces using the adhesive backing.
The camera connects to your Raspberry Pi using the included 289 mm (11.4-inch) flat ribbon cable. The connection is made through the dedicated CSI camera port on the Pi, which provides high bandwidth and transmits only pixel data for efficient image transfer.
The sensor has a native resolution of 5 megapixels and features a built-in fixed-focus lens. The camera can capture static images up to 2592 × 1944 pixels and supports 1080p30, 720p60, and 640×480p60/90 video modes.
The camera comes with a 289 mm (11.4-inch) cable, allowing you to position and mount your Raspberry Pi away from the camera. Just like the official Raspberry Pi Camera Board, it connects via one of the small sockets on the top of the Pi board. This interface uses a dedicated CSI (Camera Serial Interface) bus designed specifically for camera communication, capable of transferring high-speed pixel data directly to the processor.
