What is a Power LED?

LEDs which have higher than 0.5W of power are calles power LEDs. Unlike the LEDs we use in out circuits as indicators, power LEDs are commonly used in lighting applications.

To use power LEDs easily, you can also buy a power LED carrier PCB and a power LED driver circuit. To focus the light, you can also use 45 degree or 60 degree lenses.
